I love Dropout tv!!! So many of the shows are funny and the skill of the improv is awe-inspiring! Plus there is a lot of heart and humans being good to each other. I am a big fan of Dimension 20, where they play D&D. Which, watching comedians play gives so much space for laughter! Plus the games are run by Brennan Lee Mulligan, who is so passionately anti-capitalist! He also play a shocking number of very good parents across various seasons.

Also, I very much recommend the Message from a CEO videos. Lots of jokes about corporations being stupid, it's very cathartic!

I also love Dropout. I check it everyday to see if anything new has dropped. They have so much good content. I got in to it because of D20 because I love watching people play D&D and RPGs together, but so many of the shows are so good. I did not know how magical improvised musicals were until I watched them here. It is hard to describe the delight that I get from them.

I also love what a queer, LGBTQ, non-binary safe place that Dropout is, and it's so full of talented, smart, funny people.

Just came here to join the Dropout love! It’s a space where the world looks the way it should, and you can watch amazing (gut-bustingly funny) art without having to do mental gymnastics to justify supporting its creators and talent. Sam Reich is a treasure and, as Ally Beardsley has asserted, “the perfect American.”

I can't remember if I have already recommended Finch to all of you here, but it is a little mobile app where you raise a baby bird by completing self-care goals each day (you set them yourself and can make custom ones, so it's just whatever and however many you make). You can "buy" outfits and accessories and decorations for your bird with rewards for completing goals and you can send encouragement and greetings to friends (no writing, just tapping an option).

Congratulations on your mention in Time! I understand the weird vacuum of knowing there's no validation coming from the people it should come from so you don't hope for it but still wish you had parents who could/would give it. I'm glad you're taking the time to feel proud of yourself. I'm proud of you! Mentioned in Time by Sarah McCammon! Doing important work really well that is helping people understand and heal from their trauma while helping others gain an understanding of some of how we find ourselves where we do as a nation, even though it makes you wake up angry! So proud.

Also yes to peonies and then dahlias! And I read somewhere years ago that wiggling your toes causes you to unclench your jaw and I'm not sure if it's true, but jaw clenching is a real problem for me, so I do wiggle my toes as often as I think of it. Maybe it's just because they're associated in my mind, but I swear I unclench every time!

i have a really fun recommendation, my friend/incredible musician Kevin Devine has a podcast with his friend Casey Jost who's also hilarious where they give beloved pop songs a chance and see if they like them or not and break down why they're popular etc.

My husband and I started watching one particular YouTuber's ghost hunting videos on YouTube. We've enjoyed the main creator's videos for a long time. Ghost hunting videos are absolutely not something I would've watched in my evangelical days, LOL. But these are genuinely funny and and also just the right kind of genuinely scary. I had a very draining weekend (my kid's birthday party, but he had the best time and so I guess that's what counts??? I know what I'd do differently next year to make it less draining), and it was SO nice to just relax and watch the newest episode last night.

Also I've found myself really interested in a new (for me) fandom besides the one that's been my special interest for nearly 7 years, so it's been really nice to find new, amazing fics to read.

The local farmer's market just got peaches!!! And I'm so excited to go buy some and bake with them and also just eat them.

It's also the time of year when we go to the local river and my husband and son spend hours playing and swimming while I wade around or read with the background noise of a little waterfall acting like white noise and soothing me. It's one of my favorite ways to spend a summer afternoon.

Rugby sevens, track & field, and fencing are my favorites to watch, but I overall love the Summer Olympics and will watch any event. Watching four events at the same time with multiview on Peacock has been a dream. :D

Also, if you like musical improv, Dropout has a whole show for that, Play it by Ear. I think they hit their stride in season 2, but season 1 does have fun moments.

I've been craving a good tomato sandwich! And I have that Claudia Gray series on my list to read next year after I reread Pride and Prejudice, along with other related retellings/spin-offs. I'm really looking forward to it.

I love the drama and the leave it all on the mat-ness of Gymnastics. Swimming is exciting. Lots of tearing up over here for me seeing this people who have worked so hard have their moment.

For me it's fried green tomato sandwiches. With tarragon mayo. OMG, I want one now.

Same same with so many of these (esp the flowers and the corgis!). I wish I could grow/use fruit in baking but the potted berry bushes I bought a few years ago just will not fruit despite my best efforts 😭 I do have eight billion tomatoes in my little raised garden jungle, though!

I too need lots of laughing before bed! we are out of shows to watch right now! I watched some of Grace and Frankie recently and Lily Tomlin cracked me up!

Loving watching surfing on the Olympics.

Picking flowers from my backyard and bringing them in. Love those couple months in the summer where there are lots of colorful things growing in our yard. Periwinkle Hydrangeas are my favorite!

Board games with my family! Our favorites right now are Azul, Cat Lady and Love Letter!

Aww I got warm fuzzies about your long-term home grown fruit. What kind of lip stain do you use?

Yesterday I bought yarn and realized it is the exact same hot pink shade as the geraniums in front of my house. I guess my recommendation there is to like the colors you like.

Cardamom is my favorite flavor! Every so often I bake a Finnish sweet bread heavy on cardamom called Pulla. It's a lot of work, but the flavor payoff is worth it.

I turned on the Olympics, expecting to feel meh about it, but as soon as that familiar Olympic theme song started playing I immediately had this irrepressible giddy excitement and I was brought right back to being a kiddo in my family basement watching everything I could and then playing this weird Olympics video game on our Commodore 64 computer. I just watched the Simone Biles documentary on Netflix and now I'm going to go watch all of the women's gymnastics that I've been saving until I finished the doc. I've always loved the synchronized sports and all gymnastics and swimming, but I'm super into volleyball this time since I've started playing volleyball again over the last two years.

Congrats on making it into a good article in Time!

My kid made up a wonderful list of all of the Olympic games for me to choose from, and I chose: rhythmic gymnastics, decathlon, artistic swimming, hammer throw, breaking, synchronized diving, trampoline gymnastics, and weightlifting to be sure to watch this year.
